Nearly eight years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake and Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident.  On this occasion, the FPCJ invited an official from the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and an executive from TEPCO to explain the current situation, progress, and future of decommissioning and measures for contaminated water at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station.

 

The briefing had a total of 24 participants including journalists from Australia, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and the USA.
