Video report: Olympic Minister, Ms. HASHIMOTO Seiko, Discusses Keys to Success of Tokyo 2020

post date : 2020.01.20

We have now entered 2020, the year of the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.  To start the new year, the FPCJ invited Ms. Seiko Hashimoto, Minister for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, to discuss the significance of holding the Games in Japan again, the keys to success for these Games, and her thoughts on the “Recovery Olympics.” Ms. Hashimoto was born in 1964, the year of the previous Tokyo Olympics, and competed in seven Olympics (Summer and Winter) herself, the most of any Japanese woman. Having also won a bronze medal at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville and acted as team captain for Team Japan three times, she is known as a true Olympian.

The briefing had a total of 30 journalists from China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Spain, Russia, UK, and the USA.
