The STS forum is holding its 20th Annual Meeting from October 1 to 3, 2023. World leaders, including professional scientists, policymakers, business leaders and journalists, will gather in Kyoto to discuss the pressing science and technology issues the world is facing and to build an international network.

Dates: Sunday, October 1, to Tuesday, October 3, 2023
Venue: Kyoto International Conference Center (ICC Kyoto), Kyoto, Japan

<Program>
The forum will host 34 sessions including 10 plenary sessions and 24 concurrent sessions. Some examples of the topics are “The World in 2023 -- What do we need from S&T?,” “Lights and Shadows of AI,” “Path to Sustainability,” and “Science and Technology for Business.” This year, we are offering a series of AI-related concurrent sessions, namely: “AI in Health,” “AI in Education,” “Data in AI,” and “AI & Hyper Automation.” We will also discuss “Nurturing Innovation-based Startups,” “Sustainable and Resilient Urban Environments,” and have a special session with last year’s Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Svante Pääbo. Several side events such as the Regional Action on Climate Change (RACC15) and Dialogue between Young Leaders and Nobel Laureates meeting, in which young selected leaders are given the opportunities to meet and have conversations with Nobel Laureates, are also open to the print media.
