First in Japan! Innovative Presentation on Exploration of Bacteria

at the International Baby and Child Foundation Conference!
〜Advanced Nutrition Education Practice Draws International Attention! 〜

The first in Japan!

In November, SEiRYO Gakko Hojin (School Corporation) in Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture will present its innovative nutrition education practice, "Exploring Bacteria", at the international conference of the Bright Start Foundation, based in Switzerland!
This will be the first time for a Japanese school to present its nutrition education program to the Foundation! This is the first time that a nutrition education program has been presented to the Foundation from Japan!
The program is developed through two main pillars: "understanding children's own bodies" and "contributing to a sustainable environment.

Our goal is for children to understand the relationship between their bodies and food, and through this, to find a deeper connection to the natural world," said Inu Inu, President of the school. Our goal is to help children understand the relationship between their bodies and food, and through this discover a deeper connection to the natural world," said Yoshinari Inukai, the school's president.

The program also addresses the sustainability issues of food production and consumption, where food comes from and how it reaches our tables.
This educational practice is based on the philosophy and practice of the Reggio Emilia Approach*, which begins by listening to children's natural scientific inquiry and asks the question, "How does food affect the health of our bodies and our planet? This is also an exploratory practice based on the question, "How does food affect the health of the body and the earth?
In the "decolonizing age," this program approach helps us to understand how understanding the role of bacteria is important for children's health, sustainability, and the role of knowledge. This advanced program approach at SEIRYO Academy will help children understand how understanding the role of bacteria is important to their health, sustainability, and the role of knowledge.

This progressive development of SEIRYO Gakuen will open a new path for children to take ownership of two important elements, their own health and environmental sustainability, and to live a balanced and integrated life style.
