In a life centered on digital devices such as smartphones, modern people unknowingly accumulate stress. As a result of the spread of mindfulness and other practices to reset the mind from digital detox, Japan’s Zen culture is attracting attention from all over the world. A shukubo is a place where you can experience such an extraordinary Zen experience by staying at a temple. Ryoudenji Temple in Machida, which is easily accessible from the city center, opens “Taizen”, a shukubo. On this occasion, we will hold an opening event. Please take this opportunity to experience the world of Zen. In addition, those who cover the event will be able to stay at the shukubo at a later date.

12:00 Registration for coverage starts. Between 12:30 and 16:00, we plan to have a preview/zazen (meditation) experience/incense making experience, etc.
16:00 Start of the opening event, Tape cut/photo session
After 16:20, we plan to have a talk event/reception party.

・We plan to hold the event even in rainy weather, but if we cancel it due to bad weather or circumstances, we will contact you by email by 9:00 am on the day of the event.

Ryoudenji Temple was founded in 1629 by Masakatsu Yanada, a vassal of Nobunaga Oda.
The Yanada family is regarded as the first contributor to Oda’s victory in the Battle of Okehazama, and this temple is also their family temple.
