Video report: The US Presidential Election and Japan-US Relations (Dr. Yasushi Watanabe, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, Keio University)

The US presidential election on November 3 is fast approaching. The FPCJ invited Keio University professor Dr. Yasushi Watanabe to hold an online briefing after the first televised debate between Mr. Trump and Mr. Biden (held on September 30, Japan time), which is considered a key factor in winning the election.

He discussed the outlook for this US presidential election which is being watched around the world, what impact it will have on the international community, and in particular how it will affect future Japan-US relations.

 

The briefing had a total of  51 participants including journalists from Belgium, China, Denmark, France, HongKong, Singapore, the UK, the USA, and Vietnam.
