On 14 November, the election of the Board of the Directors of the Trust Fund for Victims (TFV) was held during the eleventh meeting of the Assembly of State Parties (ASP) of the International Criminal Court (ICC), and Mr. Motoo Noguchi, former International Judge of the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC) was elected by consensus. In the criminal cases within ICC’s jurisdiction, TVF enforces the court orders to compensate victims, and provides the victims and their families with material support and physical and psychological rehabilitation programs. It has already supported about 84,000 people in such countries as Congo and Uganda.
FPCJ has invited Mr. Noguchi to share his plans and ambition as a new member of the board of directors of the TFV.
