On March 16, it was revealed that the parents of Ms. Megumi Yokota, who was abducted by North Korea, met her daughter Kim Eun Gyong for the first time in Mongolia. Japan and North Korea will also hold intergovernmental talks at the director-general level in Beijing on March 30-31. At this time, in which events related to North Korea are taking place one after another, FPCJ has invited Professor Hajime Izumi of the School of International Relations, University of Shizuoka, to share his views about the outlook for Japan-North Korea relations.
