FPCJ has invited Mr. Toru Wakui, President of RIO East Japan, to talk about RIO's efforts for building a large-scale rice production and supply system and for cutting costs drastically. RIO East Japan was established by six agriculture-related organizations of Akita, Miyagi and Iwate Prefectures in November last year to face a new era for rice production.
The briefing was attended by a total of 25 persons, including 12 journalists from France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Singapore and the US.
