Japan Sake and Shochu Makers Association, which is composed of manufacturers of sake, will hold a tasting event, “SAKE NIGHT 2019 from All Over Japan” on June 14 (Fri) to introduce the diversity and charm of sake. We would like to invite you to this special event to share the insight of sake culture. On that day, you will have a rare chance to taste the top-ranked sakes from the National Japan Sake Award 2018, which will be the only occasion to be open to the public.


We truly hope that you will participate in this great event.

Fine arts dealer specializing in antique oriental art, and representative director of Uragami Sokyu-do Co., Ltd..
Researcher of the manga of Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), a Japanese artist of the late Edo period.
Owns the largest collection in the world, having amassed 1,500 volumes over 45 years.
Through the manga of the representative ukiyo-e artist, introduces the culture of the ordinary man, which features Japanese alcohol.



Speaker on “How to taste SAKE”
Nami Goto
The first female president of the National Research Institute of Brewing.
Focuses her efforts on research for the improvement of quality of Japanese alcohol, in order to promote the export of Japanese alcohol.
Studied at the University of Bordeaux in France, the home of fine wine, and was inspired by the constant efforts there to develop new technology.
