From Japan straight out to the world: the web site for news and information

The Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), announces a special seminar featuring Dr. Máximo Torero, Chief Economist of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

The seminar, titled "Priority Policy and Investment Options for Global Food Security and Nutrition and Resilient Food Systems," will take place on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, from 14:00 to 16:00 at Hibiya Mitsui Conference in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya.

In an era of increasing challenges to global food systems, this seminar aims to address critical issues facing food security and nutrition worldwide. Dr. Torero will provide insights into the risks threatening global food security and discuss necessary policy and investment options to enhance the resilience of food systems.
