From Japan straight out to the world: the web site for news and information

The Japanese government’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) will hold the 11th Annual Meeting of the Innovation for Cool Earth Forum (ICEF2024) during a 2-day period of October 9-10 (Wednesday-Thursday) at The Westin Tokyo, Japan and online. The ICEF Annual Meeting has been held every year since 2014 with sponsorship by METI and NEDO as an international conference where the world’s leaders from industry, academia and government gather under one roof to promote “innovation,” the key to solving climate change. This year’s event is the 11th in the series. We are now inviting participants from around the world to the ICEF2024, which will be held in October. 

 

At the 11th Annual Meeting of the ICEF, three segments, “Plenary Sessions,” “Technology Sessions” and “Special Sessions,” will be held under the general theme of “How to Live within the Planetary Boundaries through Green Innovation”. A wide range of topics will be discussed, including Planetary Boundaries, Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) and Solar Radiation Management (SRM), Food and Agriculture, and Sustainable Marine Transport, with "Diversity is the origin of innovation" as a common perception, and focusing on the innovations necessary to promote and achieve carbon neutrality even as the world continues to confront various difficulties.

We have now begun accepting registration for participation. We invite leaders of industry, academia and government from around the world to join us at this important Forum.
