IAEA Second Mission to TEPCO/METI on the Safety of ALPS Treated Water at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station (IAEA)

 IAEA officials and international experts will visit Japan from November 14 to 18 for the second mission to assess the safety of TEPCO/METI’s technical plans for the discharge of the ALPS treated water at TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The first mission on this topic took place from February 14 to 18 this year. In total, this is the third mission in the IAEA’s review.
 The FPCJ has invited Mr. Gustavo Caruso, Coordinating Director for the Fukushima ALPS project and Chair of the Task Force, to speak with media about the mission.

 

■This briefing will be held as a hybrid briefing, with the option to participate in person at the FPCJ  (members of the press only) in addition to the online livestream.
