Press Briefing on “White Paper on Crime 2012”

The White Paper on Crime 2012 introduces Japan’s statistical data on crime at full length, featuring the “Measures to reintegrate offenders/juvenile delinquents into society.” The feature introduces the kinds of support that are now given to released inmates and other offenders, and discusses future modes of support in light of survey results of volunteer probation officers, prisoners and juvenile delinquents. 

 

FPCJ has invited Mr. Akihiro Kuroyanagi, Director, Research Department, Research and Training Institute, Ministry of Justice, to talk about the White Paper on Crime 2012, which analyses the needs for support to released inmates and other offenders, based on statistical materials and the results of the survey made by his institute.
