A House of Councillors election was held on July 21. Just ahead of the election, the FPCJ invited Dr. Yu Uchiyama, a professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and an expert in modern Japanese politics, to discuss the House of Councillors election and the outlook for Japanese domestic politics afterwards.
The briefing had a total of 26 participants, including journalists from Belgium, China, Denmark, Germany, Hungry, Singapore, South Korea, U.S.A., and Vietnam.
