post date : 2015.11.11
Japan and Russia continue to hold a bilateral dialogue, as can be seen with the summit between Prime Minister Abe and President Putin at the UN General Assembly, and Foreign Minister Kishida’s visit to Russia. However, with the Northern Territories issue, peace treaty talks, increasing economic relations, and President Putin’s visit to Japan, what is the future of relations between the two countries?
The FPCJ invited Mr. Shinji Hyodo, Director of the Regional Studies Department at the Ministry of Defense’s National Institute for Defense Studies, to speak about the present and future of Japan-Russia relations.
The briefing had a total of 32 participants, including 10 journalists from France, Russia, China, etc., and 17 embassy representatives.
