Video Report: The Future of Japan-US Relations Based on the Results of the US Presidential Election (Mr. Tetsuo KOTANI, Professor, Faculty of Language and Cultures, Meikai University/Senior Fellow, The Japan Institute of International Affairs)

On November 5, the US presidential election was held, and Republican Party candidate former President Donald Trump emerged as the victor.

The FPCJ has invited  Meikai University Professor Tetsuo Kotani, a senior fellow at The Japan Institute of International Affairs and an expert in international relations, particularly US and East Asian security policy, to discuss the future of Japan-US relations based on the results of the US presidential election, including how the new American administration will impact Japan-US relations and how that will affect what role Japan should play.

The briefing was attended by journalists from China, Germany, Korea, Russia and USA.
