President Obama’s Asia Trip and Relations between Japan, America, China and South Korea

USA President Obama will be visiting four Asian countries, including Japan at the end of this month. With Japan-Korea relations cooling due to issues such as differences in historical perspective, America is pushing for the two countries to improve relations. During the Nuclear Security Summit held at the end of March in The Hague, the Netherlands, President Obama hosted a summit with the leaders of Japan and South Korea.
With President Obama’s visit to Japan building interest in the future of relations between Japan, America, China and South Korea, FPCJ has invited former Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr. Hitoshi Tanaka, Chairman of the Institute for International Strategy, Japan Research Institute, Limited.
