Under the “Abenomics” program, we saw bright signs last year of overcoming deflation and economic recovery, such as correction of the yen appreciation, rising stock prices, and Tokyo’s successful bid to host the 2020 summer Olympics. In 2014, with an upcoming increase in the sales tax in April, will the Japanese economy achieve further growth?
FPCJ has invited Mr. Hajime Takata, Managing Executive Officer and Chief Economist of the Mizuho Research Insitute, to discuss the outlook for the Japanese Economy in 2014.
