The FPCJ has invited Mr. KIUCHI Minoru, Minister in charge of Economic Security, to discuss Japan's economic security policy.

 

-Members of the foreign press and embassy representatives:

This will be a hybrid briefing, with participation in person possible at the FPCJ Conference Room, in addition to an online livestream via Zoom webinar.

 

- FPCJ supporting members may participate in the briefing online as observers (admission free).

Briefer: Mr. KIUCHI Minoru, Minister in charge of Economic Security

Brief Bio of Mr. KIUCHI:

Born on April 19, 1965. He has been serving in his current role since October 2024. Member of the Japanese House of Representatives for the Liberal Democratic Party (elected seven times). After graduating from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2003. His previous roles include Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, State Minister of the Environment, and Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives.

Language: Japanese (with consecutive English interpretation)
