Mark MacKinnon, East Asia Correspondent of the Globe and Mail, a Canadian daily newspaper, visited Japan to cover security efforts in the East China Sea.
Mr. MacKinnon visited Naha City, Okinawa, and heard about the efforts to secure maritime safety taken by the Japan Coast Guard, 11th Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, and saw one of their patrol ships at anchor. He also visited the Japan Marine Self Defense Force, Naha base, interviewed the Commander of Fleet Air Wing 5, and saw them carrying out their duties.
