The 2015 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of the Nuclear Weapons (NPT) will be held from April 27 to May 22 in New York. The Conference is held once every five years to review the implementation status of the Treaty, which took effect in 1970.
The FPCJ has invited Ambassador Takeshi Hikihara, Director-General of the Disarmament, Non-Proliferation and Science Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), to talk about expected achievements of the Review Conference and Japan’s approach to it. The briefing had a total of 13 participants.
