From Japan straight out to the world: the web site for news and information

Mr. Rafal Naczyk, a Belgium-based freelance journalist, came to Japan to write articles for Le Soir, a French-language daily newspaper published in Belgium, about “intensifying competition for acquiring talent in Japan, which faces a declining birthrate and aging population” and “drop in sexual interest among young Japanese.”

He conducted an interview at the Works Institute Recruit Co., Ltd., and the human resource department of ASICS Corporation. He also covered a job fair held in Tokyo, where he talked to HR managers of several participating companies.

Mr. Naczyk also interviewed Dr. Kunio Kitamura, director of the Clinic of the Japan Family Planning Associationto ask about the current situation in which more young Japanese people are losing interest in sex and the number of sexless couples is increasing.

His articles based on these interviews are scheduled to be published in Le Soir in early October.
