Report: Assistance for National Television Company of Ukraine (April 24-30, 2011)
post date : 2013.08.20
The National Television Company of Ukraine is equivalent to such broadcasters as NHK and BBC, and is the main TV channel with the biggest broadcasting coverage in the country. Its crew came to Japan to produce a documentary program on the earthquake disaster called “Prayers for Japan”.
During their stay in Japan, they interviewed government-related officials and academics in Tokyo. They visited Sendai, and also Hiroshima to interview a-bomb survivors and officials at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.
Upon returning to Ukraine, one of the crew got in touch with FPCJ saying that currently they are editing their materials and planning to finish their work by the end of May. They are also planning to make a special web-version of the program with Japanese subtitles. When it is ready for viewing, the URL of the program will be introduced on the FPCJ website.
