Yabu City in Hyogo Prefecture was chosen as a Special Agriculture Zone, one of six National Strategic Special Zones which will loosen regulations within the zones in order to stimulate their local economies. FPCJ has invited Mr. Shoji Mino, Deputy Mayor of the city. He took the position in February 2013 because of his success in revitalizing hotels and the Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Nagasaki.
The briefing had a total of 30 participants, including 12 journalists from Brazil, Germany, Italy, the ROK, Switzerland, the UK, and the US.
