The FPCJ has invited Dr. Tadashi Kimiya, a Former Professor, Project Researcher at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and an expert in the Korean Peninsula and South Korean politics and diplomacy, to discuss the 60th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic relations between Japan and South Korea, including the current state of and future outlook for Japan-South Korean relations.
The briefing was attended by journalists from Belgium and South Korea.

■Brief Bio: Born in 1960. Graduated from the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law. Received his Master’s from the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Law and Politics and completed the coursework for a PhD. Received his PhD in Political Science from the Korea University Graduate School of Political Science and International Relations. Worked as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and as Director of the University of Tokyo Center for Korea Studies. Retired in March 2025.
