FPCJ invited Mr. Tadateru Konoe, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and of JRCS, to look back on the Japanese and overseas Red Cross responses to the disaster over the past year and outline the lessons he thinks we need to learn from the Fukushima nuclear accident and how Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies can contribute to greater preparedness. A total of 22 people including 11 foreign press reporters attended.
