[Press Briefing for Overseas Media] Fourth Update on the Discharge of ALPS Treated Water into the Sea from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station and Briefing on Future Discharge Plans

On Wednesday, October 4, Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, Inc. will hold a press conference for overseas media during which the Chief Officer for ALPS Treated Water Management will give an update on the discharge of water treated with multi-nuclide removal equipment (ALPS treated water) into the sea from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, and brief the attendees on future discharge plans.
At this fourth briefing (the third briefing was held in July 2023), we will review the initial discharge of ALPS treated water into the sea, which was completed on September 11, and explain our plans for future discharges.
※This press conference is hosted by TEPCO Holdings, Inc. and supported by the Foreign Press Center Japan (FPCJ).
*The press conference will be streamed live via a Zoom webinar. Pre-registration is required for access. Participants will not be able to attend physically at the venue.
*In principle, this press conference will be for overseas media/journalists, but foreign embassy officials and FPCJ support staff are also welcome to observe.
