[Hybrid Int’l Symposium] Dec. 10-11: Knowledge and Training for Green Transformation (Language: English, with simul. Japanese interpretation)
The Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN, Kyoto, Japan), part of the National Institutes for the Humanities (NIHU), will host the 20th RIHN International Symposium, titled “Knowledge and Training for Green Transformation,” on December 10–11, 2025, at RIHN in Kyoto and online.
In 2025, RIHN established the Green Knowledge Center (GKC) to promote human resource development and knowledge co-creation toward a society that simultaneously achieves Carbon Neutrality, Circular Economy, and Nature Positivity. The Center collaborates with universities, industries, local governments, NGOs, artists and designers to cultivate “green human resources” — individuals capable of designing and implementing sustainable environmental solutions.
The symposium will bring together researchers and practitioners from Japan and abroad to discuss how knowledge systems and training programs can support a just and effective green transformation. Through keynote lectures and five thematic sessions, participants will explore innovative approaches to education, collaboration, and sustainability.
