Press Briefing:“Toward the 2011 G8 Summit Meeting”

 

Mr. Takeshi Yagi, Director-General, Economic Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs

 

On May 26-27, the 2011 G8 Summit will be held in the commune of Deauville, France. Prime Minister Naoto Kan is expected to explain at the summit Japan’s approach to pressing global issues such as disaster prevention, nuclear safety, and the situation in North Africa and the Middle East.

 

In this connection, FPCJ will invite Mr. Takeshi Yagi, Director-General of the Economic Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to speak about Japan’s attitude toward the G8 Summit.

Place: Foreign Press Center/Japan (6th floor, Nippon Press Center Bldg.)

 

Language: English only

 

Japanese media, FPCJ supporting members and embassy representatives may also attend the briefing as observers (admission free).
