post date : 2016.06.01
Japan’s science, technology, and innovation policies are a fundamental part of the country’s growth strategy. In this May, the cabinet approved the Comprehensive Strategy on Science, Technology and Innovation 2016 which included further initiatives for artificial intelligence. The Basic Policies 2016 finalized in June included promotion of research and development in the Internet of Things, big data, and artificial intelligence. The Japan Revitalization Strategy 2016 with a goal of a GDP of 600 trillion yen also mentions that a Fourth Industrial Revolution using these advanced technologies and robots will create 30 trillion yen of added value by 2020.
The FPCJ has invited Dr. Yuko Harayama, Executive Member of the Cabinet Office Council for Science, Technology and Innovation, to speak about science, technology, and innovation policies working towards Society 5.0, and a GDP of 600 trillion yen. Don’t miss this rare chance!
