On November 18, the Government of Japan submitted the proposed plan for the New Scientific Whale Research Program in the Antarctic Ocean (NEWREP-A) to the Scientific Committee of the IWC (International Whaling Commission) .  

The FPCJ has invited Mr. Joji Morishita, Japan’s Commissioner to the IWC, to speak about the details of the proposed plan.
