Situation in Ukraine and Japan-Russia Relations
Briefer: Prof. Shigeki Hakamada, University of Niigata Prefecture
Tension is growing in Ukraine. Japan is keeping pace with Western countries, joining the statement by G7 nations condemning Russia. Because the visit of President Vladimir Putin to Japan is scheduled for this autumn, the question of whether and how the situation in Ukraine will affect Japan-Russia relations in such areas as politics and business is attracting attention.
FPCJ has invited Mr. Shigeki Hakamada, Emeritus Professor at Aoyama Gakuin University and Professor at the University of Niigata Prefecture, who is the leading expert in modern Russian studies, to talk about the situation in Ukraine and Japan-Russia relations.
We look forward to your attendance.
