Brief Bio: Born on April 19, 1965. He has been serving in his current role since October 2025. Member of the Japanese House of Representatives for the Liberal Democratic Party (elected seven times). After graduating from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Tokyo, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2003. His previous roles include Minister in charge of Economic Security, Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy,
Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, State Minister of the Environment, and Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of Representatives.

The FPCJ has invited Mr. KIUCHI Minoru, Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy, to discuss Japan's economic and fiscal policy.

This will be a hybrid briefing, with participation in person possible at the FPCJ Conference Room, in addition to an online livestream via Zoom webinar.

As in our standard press briefings, there will be a Q&A session at the end.
