Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG)

Announcing Phase 2 of SusHi Tech Tokyo, creating sustainable new value! An open call for decoration entries for this event utilizing digital spaces

2023.02.17

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is promoting its “Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo (abbreviated as “SusHi Tech Tokyo”) concept to the world. This is a new concept of creating “sustainable new value” through cutting-edge technology and diverse ideas, using digital know-how to overcome common urban challenges.

For FY2023, the second phase of SusHi Tech Tokyo, TMG will use digital technology to promote the attractions of Tokyo from the view of real and virtual worlds.

In our virtual messaging, we will create a new communication space for people to experience the diversity of Tokyo’s attractions, utilizing a digital space that is independent of time and location.

In the winter of 2023, TMG will hold “Virtual Edo Tokyo (tentative name),” one of the largest "participation and exchange”-type digital events in Japan, providing an ideal opportunity both for companies to interact with each other, and for more people to enjoy the event, while also implementing a wide range of digital-based projects and integrated communications to showcase Tokyo’s strengths.

In preparation for "Virtual Edo/Tokyo (tentative name)”, TMG is announcing an open call for entries from companies and other organizations in Tokyo, inviting them to participate in the creation of the space with illustrations, posters, and other decorations that strongly promote the unique attractions of Tokyo's industries and other aspects of the city.
