| For duly accredited foreign correspondents in Japan, FPCJ organizes group press tours (with about 10 to 20 participants) covering a rich variety of subjects. There are more than ten of these tours each year, day-tours in Tokyo and the vicinity, or overnight further afield. These tours have covered the whole country from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south. They feature wide-ranging topics, for example, accompanying political party leaders on election stumping tours, high-tech, IT, animation, local entrepreneurs, traditional/modern culture/art, energy, and recycling plants. Press tours offer valuable opportunities for foreign correspondents in Tokyo to visit other parts of Japan and see the real people, culture, and life there.
