The Japanese government has been putting strenuous efforts in various aspects in order to address harmful rumor since 3.11. This time, Mr. Yasushi Yamaguchi, Director for Food Service Industry Office, Food Industry Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, held a press briefing on the Revitalization of Japanese Food and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries at the Foreign Press Center/Japan. Ms. Shiho Fujita(*), who as a Japanese citizen has played an important role in spreading, particularly among the younger generation, the attractiveness of Japanese agriculture, was also invited to make a speech.
(*)Ms Shiho Fujita has established herself as an entrepreneur to be known as President of “Shibuya Gal’s” since the age of 19. Since then, she founded various companies including “SHIHO G-Revo Ltd.” (renamed SGR Ltd. later) . Currently she serves as the representative of “NOGAL project” which aims to stimulate more interest in agriculture among the Japanese younger generation while promoting the value of food and agriculture.
