On June 19, the Nuclear Regulation Authority (NRA) determined on the new regulation standards for nuclear power stations to be put into force on July 8. FPCJ held a press conference about the new regulation standards, inviting Dr. Shunichi Tanaka, Chairman of the NRA. A total of 47 persons including 25 Tokyo-based journalists for Chinese, Taiwanese, French German, Italian, Netherlandish, Swiss, British and American media, and embassy representatives gathered to attend the conference.
