平田先生

The earthquakes that occurred last week centered in Kumamoto Prefecture have had the most vigorous aftershock activity ever recorded for an inland earthquake in Japan. Proper measures will need to be taken in order to minimize damages, as aftershocks accompanied by strong shaking continue to occur.

The FPCJ has invited Mr. Naoshi Hirata, Chairman of the Earthquake Research Committee, professor at the University of Tokyo Earthquake Research Institute, and head of the Earthquake Research Institute Prediction Research Center, to discuss the characteristics of the Kumamoto earthquakes and possible future earthquake activity in Japan.

Don’t miss this rare chance!
