Challenge of Epsilon rocket

 

Briefer: Mr. Yasuhiro Morita, Project Manager, Epsilon Rocket Project Team, Space Transportation Mission Directorate, and Professor, Department of Space Flight Systems, Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS)

 

Epsilon, a new solid-fuel domestic rocket, was launched on September 14. The success of this launch, markedly innovative cost reduction, is expected to give opportunities to Japan to leap forward in the field of small satellites, demand for which is globally expanding.

 

FPCJ has invited Mr. Yasuhiro Morita, Project Manager, Epsilon Rocket Project Team, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), to talk about the path to the launch, the meaning of the successful Epsilon rocket and the future of Japan’s space development, etc.

Place: Foreign Press Center / Japan (6th floor, Nippon Press Center Bldg)

 

Language: Japanese (with consecutive English interpretation)

 

Embassy representatives and FPCJ supporting members may also attend the briefing as observers (admission free).
